Overview

Telegram can accept an inbound fan message while still preventing the linked bot from replying if that chat is outside the chatbot recipient scope. This is a Telegram access setting, not a creator voice or Script problem.

  • Find whether the fan chat is excluded from bot access.
  • Allow all intended one-to-one chats or a selected set.
  • Retest the same fan conversation after saving Telegram settings.

Before you start

  • Select the exact bot, creator profile, and fan conversation affected by the issue.
  • Keep the full recent Telegram conversation available while diagnosing.
  • Read the current status shown in Telestars before changing configuration.

Step by step

  1. Open Secretary Mode chatbot settings on the linked creator Telegram account.
  2. Find the control that defines which one-to-one chats the bot can access.
  3. If using an exclusion list, remove the affected fan chat or choose the intended broad access setting.
  4. If using selected chats only, add the affected fan to the allowed set.
  5. Save the Telegram setting and send a new fan message before testing the reply again.

How it works

These are the product rules and states that matter for this workflow.

What to knowTelestars behavior
Inbound vs reply accessA fan may be able to write to the creator even when the connected bot is not allowed to answer that chat.
Per-chat effectRecipient scope can affect one fan while other conversations continue normally.
Telegram controlTelestars cannot override a chat excluded by the creator account settings.
Paid and text deliveryThe recipient restriction blocks the reply path regardless of whether the intended output is text or media.

Verify the result

  • Repeat the exact affected path with a new real Telegram inbound message.
  • Confirm the expected reply or delivery is visible in both Telegram and Fan Inbox.
  • Verify the fix did not change Script order, price, media, language, or purchase state.

Troubleshooting

If you see thisWhat to check
Only one fan is affectedLook for that chat in the excluded list or confirm it is present in the selected allowed chats.
All fans are affectedCheck the overall chatbot access choice and whether the Secretary Mode link is still enabled.
The setting is not visibleUse the labels shown in the current Telegram client and contact support with a screenshot rather than guessing another menu path.

Best practice

Diagnose from the exact fan conversation and current product state; changing creator style settings cannot repair a Telegram permission or delivery problem.
