Overview
Card top-ups use a hosted Stripe checkout and normally update the Telestars wallet immediately after a successful return. The Add funds dialog shows the live minimum and lets you choose a preset or custom amount.
- Choose a valid top-up amount.
- Complete the card checkout securely.
- Verify the wallet balance after returning.
- Find failed or pending attempts in History.
Before you start
- An owner or admin role, because wallet, subscriptions, payment methods, and renewal controls are restricted billing data.
- At least one connected bot when you want to select or change a per-bot plan.
- A supported card or cryptocurrency when adding funds.
Step by step
- Open Billing as an owner or admin and choose Add funds.
- Select one of the displayed presets or enter a custom amount that meets the minimum shown in the dialog.
- Choose Card and review the selected total before continuing.
- Complete the hosted Stripe checkout, then follow the return link back to Billing.
- Refresh Overview and confirm that the shared wallet balance increased by the completed amount.
- Open History and verify that the deposit status is Completed; investigate Pending or Failed instead of submitting duplicates immediately.
How it works
These are the product rules and states that matter for this workflow.
| What to know | Telestars behavior |
|---|---|
| Secure checkout | The card payment is completed through Stripe rather than by entering card details directly into a Telestars content field. |
| Live limits | The Add funds dialog displays the current minimum and accepted amount controls; use those values rather than an old document or screenshot. |
| Wallet scope | A successful top-up credits the same organization wallet used by the workspace’s bots. |
| Expected timing | Card top-ups usually appear after successful checkout, while History retains the authoritative transaction status. |
Verify the result
- Stripe returned you to the Telestars Billing page after checkout.
- Overview shows the expected updated wallet balance.
- History contains one corresponding completed deposit.
Troubleshooting
| If you see this | What to check |
|---|---|
| Card payments are unavailable | Use the crypto option displayed in Add funds or contact support; the dashboard will state when the card route is temporarily unavailable. |
| Checkout was canceled | Return to Add funds and start a new checkout only when you are ready to complete it. A canceled attempt should not credit the wallet. |
| Checkout succeeded but the balance is unchanged | Refresh Billing and inspect the matching History row. Keep the transaction identifier when escalating a completed-but-uncredited payment. |
Best practice
Use Billing as the source of truth for current prices, fee rates, thresholds, and plan availability; review History after every material payment or renewal change.
